Loved MIRACLES AT WORK by John A. Adams, a self-taught entrepreneur who built a $3.5 million cleaning company after being fired as an air traffic controller with the Federal Aviation Administration. My only complaint with the book is its subtitle: BUILDING YOUR BUSINESS FROM THE SOUL UP . . . it implies that this is primarily to be read by those looking to begin a business, and methinks that it is so much more than that . . . I see it is a self-help book that will inspire anybody seeking to fulfill his or her potential ~ Blaine GreenfieldJohn Adams has not only written an important book -- he has written something inspiring which is also a lot of fun to read. As a magazine editor, I'm deluged with books and getting "important, inspiring and fun" in one volume is no easy undertaking ~ Anita Sharpe"Miracles At Work: Building Your Business from the Soul Up" is an inside job. The feel-good story about working with people instead of them working for you is a great message. Then there is the added bonus of reading about good things happening locally. It is easy to envision a farm in Enfield, windows in Hartford or boats in Mystic having seen them all. Miracles do happen and they work no matter what or where the job is. It all depends on how you look at work! I just wanted to thank you for my copy of `Miracles at Work'. As I read through the book a lot of memories of my working at Adams & Adams came rushing back, especially the early years when you were still there. I think the book is marvelous! Now I understand why you documented all the ideas, stories, speeches, etc. the way you did. (Including the tablecloth you brought back from Paris because you got an idea and wrote it on the tablecloth; the shoe box cover I typed from because you got an idea while waiting in line at Bob's!) You were building up to being published. It was all worth it - congratulations! I feel the book is a tribute to all the hard work everyone did at Adams & Adams and I am proud to have been a part of it ~ Wanda M.
